Palmetto Honey

Palmetto Honey

Our Palmetto honey hails from central Florida and is harvested from late June into July. This rare mono-floral is revered by honey enthusiasts from around the world. Rich in antioxidants, it is said to have health benefits that rival Manuka honey!

Palmetto honey is made with pollen from slow-growing Saw Palmetto trees. These palms native to the southern US can take up to 100 years to reach maturity and make enough nectar for bees to pollinate them!Ā

Using your Raw Palmetto Honey at Home

Palmetto is bottled in a 12oz jar, and is dark amber in color, velvety in texture, and smokey in flavor; we think it tastes like a perfectly toasted marshmallow! Pair Palmetto honey with Lapsang Souchong or any of our more oxidized black teas.

While some of our staff eat Palmetto Honey by the spoonful, it is also delicious drizzled on prosciutto pizza or on cheeseboards with rich and creamy soft French cheeses.
